Cassidy Young, artist and a visual arts instructor is best known for her detailed urban watercolor sketch of local Bloomington restaurants. She works in a variety of mediums from watercolor and oils to digital arts, fiber arts, printmaking and even sculpture. Often exploring ideas of desire vs. need, her realistic work presents objects and places with great detail. Her diverse interests in both material and subject makes her a dynamic instructor and gives her work a unique perspective. Born and raised in California, Cassidy received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara and her Master’s in Art Education from Indiana University, Bloomington.
